Summary

Succession Planning

• It was recognised that some members have served on the group for around 20 years and, for a few members but by no means all, it is time to pass on the baton.  We will seek replacements from the wider Sangha over the coming months.

Facilitation

• Facilitation training with Zofia probably in September – dates TBC

·         This training is for both in-person and on-line facilitation – we hope to encourage those interested in learning how to facilitate to join.  We also hope that as many of the existing facilitators as possible will attend and

·         The training course will be delivered on-line over a number of evening

·         Several people have expressed interest already

·         Once we have dates and maximum number of places we will email the wider sangha

·         We agreed that facilitators should either have taken the five mindfulness trainings, or be willing to take them at a convenient moment in the near future.

• We recognised there is a need for a Facilitation Co-ordinator, particularly as numbers of attenders, both online and in person are growing.  This is something we need to bear in mind as we go through the process of succession planning. 

Children at on-line sangha evenings

• We agreed that children, suitably supervised by an appropriate adult, would be welcome to join the on-line sangha up to the sharing time.

Self facilitated DoM – 4^th Oct booked Bedminster MH

• We agreed for this to go ahead. 

• We discussed deciding on a theme at a later date – perhaps Being Peace?

• Organisers, facilitators and others to be approached to carry out different aspects of the DoM.

Finance update inc DoM

• We have £1763 in bank today

• DoM               

-          35 people booked

-          29 attended

-          £746 total receipts via on line transfers, cash and card reader, of which, £191 was dana for Terri leaving £555 to contribute towards the costs of running the sangha.

• Donations for the DoM were down from our DoM last year

• Dana for meetings seems to have dropped a little. 

• Sangha costs include room at Redland, website and zoom. 

• Treasurer reported we are currently able to meet our out goings.
